Taman Sari (Royal Bathing Place)

Besides being used as a Royal garden, Taman Sari has functioned as a bathing place for Sultan and Royal family. The main building of Taman Sari is a pool surrounded by a fortress with 6 meters height. This pool was used by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I‘s wives/concubines. In the nearby, there is a high tower as a place where Sultan watching his wives taking a shower. Besides this pool, there are also two other pools for the princess.
