Keputren

Keputren is a building complex dedicated to queen consorts, concubines, and Sultan's daughters who were still single. It was located in Kedathon, the central area of Ngayogyakarta palace. Besides this, there is also Kesatriyan complex for Sultan's sons who were not married yet. Keputren is a special area that can not be entered by just anyone, only the Sultan and certain people who got permission are allowed to enter the Keputren. If this rule is violated, there are specific sanctions to be imposed. Sultanate Ngayogyakarta also has Keputren which located in Taman Sari which used as a flower garden, water garden, and Royal family bathing place.
